Patriots -7 at Evens is seriously tempting me. Ravens definitely aren't as good as last week's score suggested.

Lynch or Baldwin first TD at 16/5 is tempting also.

Tell me boys, why should I watch the NFL? This isn't one of those "I hate this sport so I'll come on and bang on about how uninterested I am" type post, I've just genuinely never got into it and wouldn't mind giving it a go. What makes it better than the NBA (which I like) and the NHL (which I used to love but has gone way downhill)? The fantasy league and the betting seems to be a big part of the draw for some of you?

If you think NHL has gone downhill, NFL might not be for you, Franco.

Take it from your posts they've cut down on the physical side?

It's more the skill of the players that seems to have declined in the NHL, defences are a lot more on top and the basic control etc isn't as good as it was before the lockout a few years back.

I used to watch it and enjoy it before I got into the fantasy leagues and the betting as well tbh.

I actually don't really know why I enjoy it as much as I do, as a Cowboys fan it's certainly not because my team wins very often! Muggy

The big passing plays, ridiculous catches, big tackles Pinilla are all big factors though. I didn't properly get into it and get to know players and how good they were until I got into the fantasy side of things though, for people to get into it I'd always recommend that as a way to learn more.

The fantasy football makes a big difference. I just love the strategy though. Tonight's game has been fantastic

The adverts are a real pain.

Indeed. Give it a decade before it's flag football. Now I know they have to introduce player safety measures etc etc, but these cunts aren't naive bairns - they're going into games knowing they might get fucked up and get paid very handsomely to do so. Chuck in the removal of any kind of celebrations, flags on nearly every other fucking play, the almost superhuman ludicrous inability of the players to act like human beings off the field, and it's just a shadow of what it was even five years ago. Sunday used to be the day I'd hunker down and ignore the world, this season I don't think I've watched a single minute since about week 7.
