Gallagher just looks like a bitter old has been, shaking his fist at the sky, in comparison.

I don’t like capaldis music but Noel gallagher needs to remember he is hardly a musical mastermind either Laugh

I love oasis but the music is basic and the singing is shit but works for the music. He thinks he’s up there with the Beatles and that. His new song is a fucking pop song you’d hear on radio 1 or something Laugh

Capaldi has some decent songs tbf. I'm very sceptical of these celeb feuds, they're usually just a publicity stunt to keep someone in the news.

Noel Gallagher is a masterful pop/rock writer. If any idiot could write beatles rip off music and sell tens of millions of records then there'd be a lot more of them.

Not saying oasis aren't good and they'll be remembered as greats but they were nowhere near the level of what he thinks they were.

They cashed in on the britpop trend, they might be remembered as one of the biggest bands of britpop but they weren't the first. If oasis released their music now it wouldn't be anywhere near as popular but not sure if you can say the same for some of the actual legends of music.

He's a good writer but the music is repetitive and basic and Liams voice is pretty terrible and only really works for one type of music. It all clicks though and they made good music but they're certainly not the musical geniuses they like to think they are.

Na, Oasis were britpop and they’ll go down as one of the greatest British bands of all time. He just needs to pick his battles wisely because he’s no longer particularly relevant.

They didn’t create it though Laugh

Obviously britpop comes down to Oasis vs Blur but they weren’t the pioneers of the genre.  Obviously they’ll go down as a great band but i find it hard to argue they’re anywhere near guys like the Beatles or David bowie etc.

I love oasis but they get a bit carried away with themselves.  Lewis capaldi is just doing what they did, taking advantage of the trend at the time. He’ll probably get nowhere near their level either so I’m not trying to say he’s as good as them or whatever Laugh

If toast thinks oasis are the best ever musicians in the world then that’s his opinion, I just don’t think they’re the calibre of musician that they make themselves out to be.

You can’t pick Capaldi’s side in a Capaldi vs Gallagher battle then have quality of music as one of your arguments FFS Warnock

I really dont. Monty Ha

Loved them for a couple of years before the third album bored me to tears and I lost interest in them. Saw them play in Newcastle around 98 and was pretty underwhelmed.

Was always more of a Jam fan tbh.

The idea that noel making shite music in his fifties (mibbe) is some sort of stain on his career doesn't hold up if you consider that every musician that was ever great ends up shite

Some of Lou reed's solo stuff is a'right, for instance.
