Huge blow. Essentially relying on Jamie Ritchie to play 7 for the rest of the tournament, and he’s not going to be fully fit either. Eek

Yeah I don’t really see Bradbury playing 7 except in an emergency though. The problem with Watson being such a nailed-on starter there is that the rest of our back rows are all really 6s/8s. Barclay can play 7 if needed but it’s not really what you want to be doing either.

Ali Price has apparently been travelling on crutches today as well FuckMe Would be another bad one to lose, but if he’s ruled out it wouldn’t surprise me if we call up Hutchison or Jones instead of a direct replacement at scrumhalf.

I wouldn't FuckMe if Laidlaw was out injured.

He slows the game down too much.

Ritchie will end up a British and Irish Lion to be fair. He’s genuine talent in a sea of mediocrity and will only get better with age.

Toonies record in matches that count is fucking abysmal and a 40 minute performance at Twickenham is keeping him in a job right now. That was utterly woeful on Sunday.

Yeah Ritchie is a very very good player, but we’ll need him to play 80 against Samoa and Japan, and probably be involved against Russia as well which is a worry for someone just coming back from concussion.

Confirmation that Price is out, Henry Pyrgos called up Colin

Pyrgos is Laidlaw v2.

Not good - there are/were better scrum halves he could've called up (imo)

edit - George Horne for one should be starting.

I'll be shocked if Japan don't tear us to bits.

That was a great win - though I'm surprised at how bad Samoa were. Nice easy game next against the Russians before the crunch one against the Japanese Rest of the World XV.

All comes down to the last game against Japan. 4 day turn around from the Russia game. Monty Ooh

We will definitely start underdogs and everyone will want us to lose so the hosts go through.

Good win today though. We are still in it...just.

Scotland dominating the Russians.

Taking Laidlaw out the team and putting in George Horne immediately speeds up our play across the board. Very impressed with Horne, definitely the future of Scotland's half backs.

Quite enjoying having this WC on in the background. I've got a basic understanding of the rules, but as soon as you get into half-backs and flankers I'm lost - still been good to watch though. Have had it on in the morning while the boy's been getting ready for school and we've both been quite into it.

Plus it's easy pickings backing the big-guns at the likes of -40 in the groups; basically the equivalent of unders in the Afcon. Shat out of taking Scotland on the coupon, so waiting on Wales -21 for £50 Laugh
