I think the idea is that this is a low-calorie version of 'premium' brands like Ben and Jerry's or Haagen-Dazs, so has proper mix-ins (in this case big chunks of cake, chocolate chips, and fudge swirl - presumably these are what add many of the calories) while still using the lower calorie ice cream base. It's higher in calories than the standard Halo Top, but significantly lower than B&J or HD (which are typically anywhere from 1,100 to 1,400 per tub). The standard Halo Top is much lower in calories, but less indulgent in terms of the mix-ins.
