https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploitation_film

Exploitation is a style of film.

The show was, on the whole, shite. I listed a show I really enjoyed in the same post and acknowledged what was good about Hunters. But ultimately, and most reviews agree, it's crap.

Just watched the first episode of the new season of 60 days In.

Putting a show "superfan" in.

What could possibly go wrong.

Kingdom on netflix is decent. Only a few episodes in, but it's scary enough and well set up for intrigue. So far it's about the breakdown of monarchy/society in Korea after, and this may put some people off, a zombie plague spreads through the country.

Watched the first season of the good place. Fantasy/comedy about a woman who is sent to heaven by accident and how she has to hide it. Ted Dansin wears tacky suits. It's good.

Strong plot twist too, but it might be difficult to hold it together as it goes on.

Rinsed most of season 1 of A Very Secret Service (Au service de la France) on Netflix last night. Would recommend it to everyone, and not only Walt (but especially Walt tbf). It's a comedy set in 1960s France, about a guy who gets drafted into the French secret service. Mainly light hearted humour, but the 1960s setting allows for some quite pointed jokes about how France dealt with the fallout from WW2, and French colonialism (the first two questions he's asked to assess his suitability for the job are which country won WW2 and which country brought civilisation to Africa). Really enjoying it so far.

A mate recommended it, so gave it a go. Got bored of it quite quickly and worked out the twist pretty early. Despite Ted Danson being very good it it, I gave up just a couple of episodes into the second series. Just wasnt for me.

Watched 3 episodes of The Stranger last night, was reeled in by the trailer and the fact it’s an adaptation of Harlan Cobens work.

There is an awful lot going on so far and tbh I’m hoping it will get better.

If anyone hasn’t seen Tell No One, a french adaptation of another Coben novel I’d highly recommend it.

The English Game. It's shit. Julian Fellowes was clearly handed a fat stack by netflix with instructions to write a mini-series about football and the working classes. I get the feeling Fellowes knows nothing whatsoever about either, or nothing worse listening to.

It's all pretty dreadful, but the main gripe i have is one of the issues with the later series of downton. People have a conversation and then the period moves forward six months or a year and the next time they see each other they pick up where the left off.
