Embarrassing we could actually make a legitimate case for a full 11 worth of shite under one single stewardship.

Granted we could probably do a Romanov one but he at least backed it up with some all time Hearts greats.

All time 11 -

Myles Hogarth

Barasa
Petric
Kevin James
Obua(sure he slotted in there at some point)

Cammazola
Simmons
Fitzroy Simpson

Paul McCallum
Wittenveem
Beniusis

Have probably missed out a few obvious ones but that will do for now.

Levein 11 -

The Hologram

Struna
Avlonitis
Novak
Grzelak(so much choice for this position)

Martin
Kitchen
Callachan

Amankwaa
Stockton
Sammon

Monty LewLew

I did grudgingly put him in tbf. Mind went blank, probably replace with Screpis.

Was probably because I was so buzzing to see a Brazilian play for Hearts and he never hit my Ronaldinho expectations.

Obua was fucking humpty. This debates been done to death. Even his winner and celebration v Hibs won’t save him.

Stand by Simmons too. A nothing player.

Always thought Barasa got a hard time - was limited but solid, and suffered with the fans of a result of playing at a time when our team was so flooded with mediocre Lithuanians that any Lithuanian player had to be one of our best just to not be a hate figure with the fans. Has to be Kurskis in goals too - can't think of a worse player, in any position, during my time watching Hearts. Warnock

Some of these players may have been part of Levein's first era:

Nelson

J Thomson
Petric
K James
K Milne

C Tapping
F Simpson
K Twaddle
L Jenkinson

Witteven
Tullberg

Simmons is a shout - one decent season and after that absolutely nothing. But struggling for absolutely terrible CMs...

Barasa being actually alright was going to be one of my unpopular opinions in that thread (before I got trolled silly by other people’s posts Mugbie )

He was fine and would have basically had no abuse if he’d been any other nationality.

Beniusas could've been useful for us too, but there was no coming back after that debut. Sure he scored regularly for Kaunas and had quite a few caps.

I actually saw him play at Pittodrie that season (I think we won 1-0 and Nade scored the winner - could be wrong). I thought he did well and his size and strength gave Aberdeen a really hard time.

Think he might have done ok given half a chance. Certainly better than people like Makela and Sammon...

My recollection of the Aberdeen game is of him coming on and being fine - can't remember thinking he actually did well, but did enough to suggest that he could've played a part. As you say, there was no way back after his debut (had he not touched down from Lithuania the day before or something?)

Mental looking back at how the Lithuanians were treated back then, even if to some extent it was understandable given how flooded we were with obviously substandard players. There are people who will still tell you Velicka wasn't a good player for us Warnock

Aye. Don't even think he was match-fit. Was that the game Yves Ma'Kalambay caught three crosses and Hibs fans thought he was Buffon?

Barasa was terrible and looked like Barney Rubble. Bad, bad player.
