CAN YOU IMAGINE Mr Romanov's reaction if St Mirren came to him begging for an emergency goalkeeper loan after their shenanigans. Novichok in the St Mirren Park bovril imo.

It's not though is it. Yes, their social media guy took the piss, but they're a club that were openly vocal in their belief that we should be relegated and were quite happy to shaft us. https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/s...ck-2859857 St Mirren can fuck right off.

St Mirren having fucked us over and helped get us relegated would be a good reason not to do business with them without any need to reference what some social media nerd chose to post. Not convinced it'd be a good strategy, though. At this point we could justifiably be unwilling to work with most of the clubs in Scotland, but we'll need to work with some of them.

Just had a look back and it seems you're right about this - no-one particularly said that, beyond a few references to the tweet which was deleted. I've maybe mixed up what I saw on Twitter with what I saw on here. Bit embarrassing after the 'hard of thinking' line, but my brand is built entirely on making a fool of myself on the internet tbf Maintain that we can't just refuse to do business with everyone forever, though. I said in my OP that I was playing devil's advocate to an extent and I meant it, helping St Mirren out right now doesn't sit well with me either, but the bottom line is that we can't boycott the (near) entirety of Scottish football in our transfer dealings.

I've no intention of pushing for isolationism, but to see St mirren struggling to put a team on the pitch and offer to assist them is ridiculous given what Scottish football as a whole has done to us.

Not going to defend it until I'm blue in the face Like I said, it doesn't sit well with me either. I guess I'm more in line with what Dred said, in that I find this kind of annoying but probably not even top 10 infuriating things we've done over the past couple of years.
