Might need to try it again but I never really rated that el cartel first time round tbf.
Thought it was one of they places that just looked trendy so all the students would go and everyone assumes it's class. Their drinks were good tbf but I didn't think the food was that impressive, it was ok but wouldn't sing home about it like.

We ended up going to The Cruin at Loch Lomond yesterday for lunch - it was absolutely class.
Black pudding fritters with spicy mayo (forgot to take a picture before we'd gotten stuck in) The lightness of the batter outrageous Chocolate orange torte Would thoroughly recommend. Beautiful surroundings, obviously. Bierhalle after court today.

It was the multiple vrwows at a plate of fish and chips that offended me tbh.

Unlike that delightful fish, there'll be nothing light about the battering I give you.
That looks v dece Acey.
We're looking for somewhere to go next month for my birthday. Was planning on going away but missed out on the accommodation so just going to go for a nice meal. Was looking at the higher end places since we're no going away but the menus don't really do it for me, think we're going to go to 99 Hanover streets new place 'Superico'. Think it's a Chilean guy who is the head chef, menu looks dece and it's fairly priced. Edit; was looking at chop house as well AP but since were going to Spanish butcher soon fancied something different.

It's really good tbf. The curries are all amazing. Would recommend either the chicken or the cauliflower pakoras. Huge basket of spicy chips for £3.50 too.
They've also got a McDonalds-style big screen at the door for ordering takeaways.
