I think it’s all about timing with St Andrews, catch them at peak times and it’s all good but off peak your almost 100 percent getting stale cold chips

HS2 officially starts getting built today apparently. £106bn for London to Birminghan, but that's before all the Tory cronies stick their snouts in the trough  Crowe

Some effort from the lad Rashford like. Was quite shocked reading some of those figures. Good solution in the short term but it feels a bit like it's papering over the cracks.

Wonder if it's time to give the universal basic income a go? Don't really see what chance you've got if you're a single mum with 2 or 3 young kids of making ends meet when you look at the type of wages and hours you get in entry level job. Seems like we should be able to help folk like that pay for the necessities like food/clothes/toiletries.

Was thinking back to the kids that used to get free school meals when I was at school. They used to get vouchers for lunchtime that looked like big raffle tickets. Talk about stigmatising folk Monty Ha

XR blocked a road so some newspaper trucks (Murdoch) couldn’t get out and deliver.

Press and tories going into overdrive about how this is an attack on democracy and an attack on the free press Heh

Wonder if they were out cutting their fibre lines as well so it all couldn’t be published online as usual where the majority get their news these days vladchin

Lovely.

Wonder what the Tories, who wrote a letter to the BBC this week, complaining that they were being unfairly treated by two journalists and that they should be sacked, make of it all? Monty Oh You

I see the Charlie Hebdo case has gone to court and is hearing evidence. What a horrific situation this person found herself in:

Quote:As she was leaving the building in Paris’s 11th arrondissement she came face to face with the Kouachi brothers, one of whom took her arm while the other stood the other side of her.

“They had their guns pointed at me,” she told the court. “They said, ‘We want Charlie Hebdo, we want Charb [Stéphane Charbonnier, a cartoonist, later killed by the brothers].’ I was totally distressed.”

Thinking she was about to be killed, she dropped to her knees and placed her hands on her head. “I thought I would die, executed there on the first floor,” she said, weeping.

Instead, one of the gunmen told her: “Stop joking or we’ll kill you.”

The Kouachi brothers had forced her up to the second floor of the building telling her: “You have insulted the prophet, we are al-Qaida Yemen,” she said. “They repeated ‘We want Charb.’ I was devastated. I had a blinding image of my daughter. I tapped in the [door] code. They pushed me inside.”

Why does he always drag his old man along with him to these court appearances?

Is it a sympathy attempt? Or does his old man just like hanging about court?
