Thought no action could be taken if he was booked?

For what its worth I don't think we played particularly great last night, however it was vastly better than the league cup games. I think it does show how utterly rubbish most of the clubs in this league are. Teams like Inverness and Ayr will be our closest challengers. But to not play well and still score six can't be argued with. Hopefully this is the start of us finding our grove for the rest of the season and more urgently the semi in a few weeks. Definitely need another striker but I doubt we'll be getting anyone until January at the earliest and even then depending how things are I'd imagine we'll just use our current options to see out the season.

In an ideal world we could do with another striker but if Boyce, Wighton and Naisy aren't getting between 10-15 each they should pack the game in tbh.

Boyce looked well off it last night. Think the boy marking him did a decent job, but he rarely got ahead of his man when balls were put in the box, and obviously fell on his arse twice with the goal gaping. Hope he's just rusty, as he could get 40 against the pish we'll be playing.

Boyce's finishing was poor last night, but I thought he linked well. A few nice lay off, flicks and one twos.
Below the required standard, but it's early days.

Was shocked to see Boyce and Smith in the starting line up tbh. Boyce definitely tired, the open goal slip and the one where he completely got his angles fucked up and kicked it to the corner flag were really poor. But he linked up well hopefully He can shake of the international pish and get back to his best.

Obviously not great on the ball, but that'll improve now that he's not sat on the bench for NI rather than playing 60+ mins for Hearts in cup games. He looked about ten times as mobile as he did last season when he was struggling with injuries. Whoever said that the team looks much more cohesive with him up front rather than Wighton was (sadly) correct.

Stuart Wallace knows more about licking wee Budgies arse than he does about football.
