27 Monty Ooh

At least Riordan and O'Connor had international caps and some big moves behind them before being washed up to fuck before 30.

Walker leaving us last time round was a great relief, for him to come back and show unsurprisingly zero improvement :Monty Oh Well

Delighted that my complete and utter lack of faith in him from the off has been completely vindicated. Greggy

Garbage player. The sort who makes you angry that you're an unfit cretin because he's completely wasted what should have been a promising career through a complete lack of common sense and application.

Genuinely don't think I've ever seen a Hearts player who goes missing more often than he does.

I don't see the point in blaming Jamie Walker, the boy is done, same as Naismith and Berra.
The problem is the people signing them and playing them.
Neilson's tactics are god awful and he's never going to get these older players to listen to him either.

He could get away with it if the application was there, which it clearly isn't. Imagine being caught offside from a corner twice in one game when tyou're the one taking them. Imagine being so fucking lazy that you don't travel 5 yards to make sure you're onside when the ball is recycled to you.

That could be it. There's something in his eyes that tell me he thinks he should be retired. His legs are probably completely gone but can't admit otherwise the payslips will dry up.

Ken what's mad. He'll finish his career with more Hearts goals than Rudi Skacel and Colin Cameron Warnock

Being optimistic, I was encouraged by his fairly good start when he came back.

Think it's safe to say he's a busted flush now. There's something deeply wrong with him. I think the chat about the knee issue finishing him rings true I'm afraid.

Even the injuries will probably be a direct result of his lack of interest in training to prevent them in the first place/rehab/basic diet.

I remember when he was doing well early on, reading an interview with Brad McKay (I think) talking about how much ability he had - he talked about how he 'just wanted to play football', and wasn't interested in any of the other stuff. Remember thinking even then that the fact we see that as a good thing is part of the problem with Scottish football, although I obviously hardly exactly saw him being washed up at 27.

As has been alluded to above, guys like Riordan/O'Connor/Griffiths have still managed half decent careers in spite of their attitude and lifestyle because they were genuinely very talented. Walker was decent, but not really on that level - even at his best he had a tendency to go missing in the big games.

He's also fucked up his career in a far less entertaining way. Not a big drinker, actually teetotal at one stage at least, but just lived off of Findus crispy pancakes and couldn't be arsed training. Heh

Walker wasn't as talented as O'Connor and Riordan (don't think you can include Griffiths tbf, he's had a brilliant career) but he wasn't far away at a young age. The injuries totally fucked him and has attitude has made sure he can't come back from that. He had Osgood-Schlatter's disease so I feel for him a bit but no excusing his performances these days.

Is part of the problem with football that it matters more whether you eat crisps or not compared to how much talent you have in your locker.

As we reflect on Diego Maradona‘s was passing and tune into Harry Winks and Eric Dier at the summit of the premier league.

Walker’s attitude has been the biggest issue, he’s a massive shitebag. Barely turned up in a big game in his career.
