Quite encouraging that he has been involved at Norwich in this capacity, who have a lot of good young players coming through, made good buys (outwith giving Naismith a giant contract Monty Umm).

Wonder how much input this fellie had with the relative success they’ve achieved.

I know someone in football. Who knows Savage. And the person is a Hibs fan with no interest in bigging us up.

Says he's a briiliant guy. Really decent. And was rated down south. Was a serious contender to go to Southampton. And we've done well to get him.

I'm more critical of Budge than anyone on here. And it's easy to be a pessimist. But think this might be a great appointment for us and I've got fingers crossed for the guy. His first few actions and signings will be interesting.

I hope you’re right man, we desperately need some positive signings for next season and beyond. Although if he bins off John Murray and achieves nothing else, then I’ll still be chuffed.

Welcome Joe Savage to Heart of Midlothian Football Club. The club has won the Scottish Cup 8 times, most recently in 2012.

Your first job is to tar and feather John Murray and throw him from the top of the Mcleod Street Office Block. Will you attend to this yourself or leave to Andy Kirk?

You've got a fresh sound. It'll play well around here. Pozzied.

John Murray has been a dead duck for years. Warnock

It's doctor Levein and preferred agent Colquhoun who should be tarred and feathered.

We needed a scorched earth policy. Anybody who even touched the process that unearthed Grlezak, Oshaniwa, Amankwaa, Sammon, Anderson, Callachan and Stockton amongst others. Even if they hit send on a FAX. Or showed Murray how to update the App. Should have been sacked without mercy. It should have been an exceptional Board meeting with names getting minuted from the football department, anybody with a role of any description.
I am sure Savage will be mortified when he looks at how things have been run. And the money wasted. His desk will already have a fruit basket on it with best wishes in the new role, from John Colquhoun.

All I can think about after that documentary is Budge standing behind the camera telling him what to say Warnock

1 minute in and I'm happy he speaks like a proper fitba man. Keeps saying 'to be fair' for example.

Michael Smith and GMS are his first two bits of business. If he keeps that up then I'll be very happy.

https://theoldcastlerock.wordpress.com/2...of-gorgie/.

Wrote this on Big Joe Savage as bored this morning without footie to look forward to. Spoke to a Preston fan about him, although he wasn't overly keen on him. Zlat Think that might be down to their 'unique' structure though. Said Savage played the role of chief scout and Ridsdale and his advisor did more of the recruitment side of things.
