Carbon (Carbone). On netflix. 4/10, though as I will watch anything french, for me was probably more a 5/10. Objectively terrible mixed up film that didnt know what it wanted to be. Is it a gangster flick, is it a street movie? Why does the son in law of a very connected, well off businessman cut about speaking like he's from the banlieues? The soundtrack was trying to fit in with the street film aesthetic but it was nonsensical when you have Depardieu wandering around his stables at the same time.

Absolutely creased at one line when his ex wife comes to the door and calls his new bird a pute and he says she's not my pute she's my meuf. Just trying way too hard to be street. Warnock

Started The Beatles film on Disney. I'll happily eat it up, but can't imagine folk with a passing interest sitting through it.

Just watched Bond, though it was boring and dragged on, that and spectre have been major letdowns in the franchise imo

Thanks Picard, I couldn't be bothered looking a few pages back to find the topic. Have a pozzie.

Anyhoo, American Graffiti, last night, as a family movie but 2/4 (the burds basically) were less than impressed.
6/10, It has its moments but they're mainly confined to the soundtrack and the cars.

I actually re-watched the Garfield ones over the last day or two and forgot how good he was tbh. Garfield and Stone better than the other on screen romances too.

Fucking loved it, everything worked. Proper laughed at the bit when Andrew Garfield went in the huff about being Spider-Man 3 when he was the only one who didn’t have one. Also Tobey Maguire telling him he’s Amazing. Basically Andrew Garfield  Monty Chuckle

Never been a film of old epics due to my mum constantly watching them when i was growing up. But after reading up on Lawrence of Arabia i thought i'm going to do this. 3 British hours and 44 minutes.

But fucking wow.... incredible. The cinematography is incredible. O'Toole's debut  Wow

Definetely will watch it again soon. One of those films you'd watch once a year. Pozzie to my Ma.

Was short of anything I wanted to watch, and been isolating for a few days so well stocked up on family friendly classics, so watched The Power of the Dog to get ahead of awards season. It's definitely award bait. It's about two cattle ranchers (cumberbatch and the young neo nazi kid from breaking bad who got fat) and the fat kid gets married to kirsten dunst.

It's put together from five or six episodes and i wasn't fussed for most the early ones, but the last hour is pretty gripping. It's a western and it looks good, so that's enough for a start.

Kirsten Dunst will do well at awards from this, but that's more from playing a female who's less than polished than anything else.

I love Lawrence of Arabia as a film. Grew up with it on during christmas and was engrossed in it. Think it was the deserts I liked. Always return to it when it's on.

Think my son says he's off to see it the Spidey film tomorrow, might not give him the cash if it's shite then. Monty Oh You

Watched the Netflix film Don't Look Up with Leonardo di Caprio, was on the whole pretty crap. Could it be his first truly shite performance. Laugh

Once he's been up one you know theres another and then another so it gets a bit repititive, and they know this but the fillers don't really add much. Nice wife.

Aye, I'm sure he will. Laugh He's seen most of the previous reincarnations, with I think the recent cartoon one, was it the Spideyverse I think, being his highlight.
