Suits - Morph - 03-18-2015

Looking to buy my first suit (I know I know)

Anyone recommend places to try?

Want to do it properly and get it tailored, nothing worse than guys cutting about in ill fitting suits.

Probably go for a blackish one since I'll no doubt just have the one. I've seemed to stop growing so would probably be a good time to get one.

Help me plz TH.

Looking to spend 250-300 if that's doable?

Hope you've got someone better than our very own legal eagles pleading your case, m80.

Laugh

My girlfriend is graduating in June and I'd like to look like I'm not actually a tramp from Pilton.

Genuine question, what age are you? This sounds like something a 16 year old might say.

I was told Slaters might be decent to try?

What are they like?

RE: Suits - Sarko - 03-18-2015

Slaters is probably your best bet, especially if you don't know what you're looking for. Generally good service and not overly expensive.

Smart-casual is my usual dress-code advice for court, m8. The boys in suits tend to be either squaddies or beasts.

And Morph is definitely no Marine.

RE: Suits - Morph - 03-18-2015

I just want some advice on the best place since there's a fair amount of folk from offices on here who'll buy them regularly.

Cheers nic ill maybe head upto Slaters on the weekend. Is it all own brand stuff aye?

RE: Suits - Roger H. Sterling - 03-18-2015

Suits in an office is a bit of an old trope no? I've never worked in one anyway. Wouldn't take a job that made me dress formally to sit at a desk.

RE: Suits - Morph - 03-18-2015

I don't know Rog never worked in one.

See loads of folk uptown in the morning wearing suits, assumed they were all office workers.

Maybe I'm way off the mark then. Will try Slaters anyway cheers.

RE: Suits - Sterling Archer - 03-18-2015

Morph you can get a decent enough fitting suit without going full tailored. Just don't buy a regular fit dad suit and you'll be off to a good start.

RE: Suits - Poor Playercey - 03-18-2015

Agreed - I wouldn't go full tailored for my first suit. Get two decent ones for ~£140 each from M&S / Debenhams / Slaters.

RE: Suits - Roger H. Sterling - 03-18-2015

If you're a beanpole get yourself down to Burton and the like. Their slim-fit suits will do the job.

Slaters are decent for a business suit.

RE: Suits - Mikey - 03-18-2015

Try and get the number of Stuart McCall's tailor Cool

RE: Suits - Poor Playercey - 03-18-2015

That's a fucking disaster. Warnock

RE: Suits - Morph - 03-18-2015

He looks like something straight out the beano ffs.

M&S suits decent?

Why should I not go tailored for my first suit? Planning on keeping it for a while when I get it.
