A lot of invoice fraud doing the rounds at the moment. Would be inclined to think both will be something along those lines were some fairly junior admin person has changed details they shouldn't of and random payments have been then made to dodgy bank details.
The club and Hamilton have next to no chance of getting the money back if thats the case.
Either that or they genuinely believed Budge had fallen off her moped when off her face on vino and transferred her £80k for the Thai hospital bill

Hamilton have never accepted card payments for anything apparently. I'm sure they also claimed they got £550k for Stadium naming rights, and shirt sponsorship from Superseal, 2 year deal as well.

Hamilton one's a weird one.
Hearts fair enough you can see why they'd be moving £80k around to someone but for Hamilton it's basically almost every penny they have so god knows why they would manage to get scammed into making such a large payment to someone.

Looking at dates and sums - it's going to be the SPFL money.
Clubs get around £660k in August and the balance of the previous season around the same time - the two together are probably about the right sum and Doncaster weighed in very quickly.
It's probably the SPFL who have fucked up, let someone change Hamilton's bank details on their system - like happened with Annan - and are now letting Hamilton deal with the hassle when actually it's the SPFL who have been defrauded and should be sorting it and giving Hamilton their cash.
