Arfield and Davis would prob be out of our pay grade. Arfield is brilliant for Rangers the now but not sure if he's going to be in Gio's plans long term so maybe they'll free up a space in the squad by releasing him - he could get an upper championship team or an abroad move but may want to stay in Scotland. Davis will prob just retire if he doesnt get a years extension, but he can still play.
I'm still on the Fuchs train
even if he has been in brutal form. We'd be buzzing with McGrath of course. Rooney and Charles Cook would be interesting signings and Considine as a years cover for Souttar while we figure out what to do long term could work.

Had a look at the list and, of the ones within budget or who would be realistic, there's barely any that would improve the side. Slim pickings.
Brophy - an absolute diddy no thanks.
Davis & Arfield - both would be good signings obviously but as you say are likely out of our price range.
Fuchs - think there's a player in there and could potentially be a decent squad player.
McGrath - just pied Aberdeen so likely off down south.
Rooney - not sure. Seems like a very poor man's Paterson in that he's physically very imposing but quite limited technically. I'm not sure he'd be an upgrade but could make an impact/offer something different. I suppose it remains to be seen how good the new boy is.
Charles Cook - maybe, seems a decent age with a bit of potential but haven't seen enough of him to comment.
Considine - thought he was crippled with an ACL injury? At his age, not the best bet.
I'd take big Zander Clark as a back up net tender but little chance of that happening.

Agree with most of that.
There are a few Motherwell boys in there. They must be good as they are sitting behind us in the league. I just don't recognise the names.
