Kitchin is pretty much the best food I've ever eaten. The re dessert was without doubt the nicest thing I've had in my life - sounded so simple, a mousse with rhubarb consommé and blood orange, but fucking hell

Went to Slug & Lettuce on George Street tonight for some food Â
Service was fucking awful, I was told they didn't have any bacon for the chicken, bacon and cheese club sandwich but they did have the homemade chicken pie - which had bacon in it.  Bursds got a cocktail and because they had no garnish left they stuck a straw through a cherry and balanced that on the glass Â

You do know all the stuff like pies will be made at the start of the day m8? Sandwiches will be made to order.

Chrambo thinking that every time someone orders a pie the chefs get to work on mixing together the pastry dough and make exactly one pie's worth of filling.

I fucking hope he complained.
"Could you tell me how there was no bacon for my sandwich and yet, you've put bacon in my chicken and bacon pie"? Would have been met with a

Brb just off to defrost a chicken short crust pie so that I can extract the bacon and serve the clown in the SnapBack a club sandwich.

I think chrambo might mean he was offered the pie as an alternative because of the bacon.
If not then he is a DR Congo

Man has successfully created a machine to extract the hydrogen from water, giving us an endless supply of cheap clean, electricity. We have successfully defeated the threat of climate change and have a solution to conflicts predicated by energy crises.
However, i'll be awfy, awfy impressed if we're ever able to perfect a machine that lets us extract the bacon bits from a 'homemade chicken pie'. (I'm especially disgusted at Chrambo for not realising that said 'homemade pie' wasn't made earlier. Unless the pub happened to be someone's home there is a clue that says it wasn't going to be prepared immediately upon receipt of order)

I didn't get a fucking chicken pie FFS, that's what the waiter suggested was 'similar' to the club sandwich I had a burger which was just as bad, whole thing fell apart after one bite and was pretty tasteless anyway.

Chrambo goes to slug and lettuce and orders a burger.
Real insight into your life considering the amount of fantastic restaurants in that area of Edinburgh.
