I was mocking the fact that more than one burger place had shamelessly used the exact same pun as each other Not to worry, I'll take the blame for your confusion and be the bigger man

Indeed. I'll also add that I was disappointed in the quality at the Bristo BG ... average quality fare. Went a year past Oct with another couple. Steaks were bang average; nothing I couldn't do myself with a trip to Asda and a spare half-hour. We had previously been to Shebeen, Morrison St, which was rather good, although we were unfamiliar with the dry rub prep on the steaks. Huge portions and a good wee ambiance about the place. We'd go again; can't say the same for the BG.

'Gourmet' burger places exist to provide an 'eating out' option for people who want to feel like they're eating out but don't want to move out of the comfort zone occupied by the tinned macaroni cheese and microwave lasagnes that they grew up on.

Especially considering that one of the names isn't a pun.

You're not serious on that, surely? Burger Meats Bun contacted them to complain about the use of the pun and they didn't even bother using your argument to refute it http://glasgow.stv.tv/articles/256729-me...g-for-fun/
