Nando's

Still raging I dodged Nandos so long because of the horrendous sub culture attached to it

Wagamama's

Nando's.
Carluccio's is decent. Cote is very nice. Authentic french bistro cooking, food is great, wine is nice, service is really spot on, super attentive. Went to Bill's for breakfast once. Utter shite. Couldn't even poach an egg.

On a serious note I quite like Zizzis. And the tapas place on George street is a chain I'm sure

Boston Pizza isn't bad tbh. If I really had to lay it on the line it would be McDonald's. Boils down to them having the Bacon Egg McmUffin.

(07-14-2017, 11:18 AM)Pete Seeger Wrote: Wagamama's Went to Wagamama's for the first time last Friday after refusing to go for years because of the communal bench system. I don't go to restaurants to sit next to strangers FFS. Food was actually really good (the pork belly ) but the service was really weird. We were eating stupidly early (think we went in at 6 ) so the place was almost empty, and my friend had just about finished her food before mine even arrived. Strange when it's just about empty. On other chains, Nando's is overrated Italian: Zizzi/Prezzo both do a job for a pizza/pasta, but Ask and Jamma's Italian are sub-par. French: Walt mentioned Cote brasserie, it's very good. Cafe Rouge is alright too. Mexican: Wahaca is decent but nothing special, the wee places on the Royal Mile/Cockburn Street that have been there for years are definitely better. Tortilla and Chilango are king of the burrito chains though. Thai: At the spennier end of the chain scale but Chaophraya are among the best Thai restaurants I've been to. British: Brown's is shite, just go to a decent pub. Can't really think of chains for other cuisines tbh.

Going to Iberica in Glasgow tonight, hopefully it's decent for a chain.
Cafe andaluz is pretty awful, never understood why it's so busy.
