Wouldn't take their nutritional info as gospel though. Fairly sure they were caught for it being way off.

There's one in Glasgow as well. Quite tasty but agree with chrambo. Some of it must be more calorific than claimed like.
Was at the kenmore hotel last night. Must have changed hands since the last time I was there. Was served mouldy bread with a terrine, Mrs S was given uncooked Brie which had to be sent back, was barely any better, just more burnt, when it came back, then the mains came. A minuscule piece of salmon which already had a skin on the sauce and the piece de resistance this apparently medium rare fillet: Had to walk out. The worst of it is that it wasn't cheap, that steak was £33. The salmon £17 or something. Appalling. The decor was next level as well, red and green lights, with blue and gold carpet and curtains. Shame as the wee old bar is a nice spot and has plenty character. The food was good before as well.

Suggestions for places to eat in Kensington?
As per the holiday thread going to London in November but as I'll still be in a moon boot it's probably going to limit the distance from the hotel in term of places we'll be looking to eat in the evening

I assume most labelling is inaccurate to a degree tbh. That's shite if you are tracking calories but I had chicken and brown rice cooked nicer than I could have and didn't feel like death like I do after some fast food so all good.

Spent quite a bit on the trip under the assumption we'd just use the underground/walk everywhere which is what we'd usually do. Can't really afford to take taxis everywhere for 3 days.

Uber is really reasonable in London. The tube is probably still the best way to get about

Uber is great and much cheaper than a taxi but more than the tube. Sometimes a tube will be quicker too depending on the journey. But on the whole Uber is great down there and a v good alternative to taxis.

North Harbour Bistro on Scalpay was superb
Walked in and it looks so much like a wee cheap seaside cafe, so I was very confused when I saw that mains were all in the £25 region. Then this got served up: Sea trout and crab risotto

Looks and sounds superb, Francis.
Nothing special for me last night though i did plough through a McDs .99 cheeseburger special and a crispy wrap on the way home. Anyway, what I wanted to mention was that upon stepping out of the Tolbooth Tavern at ~ 5pm I was hit by that unmistakable aroma of the chippie, but it wasn't just any old chippie smell it was the smell of chippies from thirty years ago. Kinda wanted to track down the source but I was with a couple of mates that were intent on hitting the next boozer.

Great stuff Pondy. The absolute weirdos populating Imgur by the way Uploaded that photo to post it on here but unintentionally left it public, came back to find someone calling the dish “burntâ€, someone else posting a Gordon Ramsay “fuck me†gif and a handful of downvotes to go with it.
