Anybody who hasnt enjoyed the succulence of a mosque kitchen curry is digging so deep they will get burned on the molten lava

Its got a couple of tables inside but a big canopy outside. Your missing out for sure. I await your post mosque pozzies

Cheap, rough as fuck curry places generally serve the tastiest food in my experience.
For that cuisine, give me substance over style (and inevitably a legit food hygiene certificate) any day.

Fuck that like.

Mosque kitchen is superb

Aye the Mosque kitchen is excellent. For the quality of the scran at those prices can't understand anyone caring about what it comes in.

Mosque kitchen is class, was an absolute revelation when working at festival theatre. If you don't like the polystyrene plates i'm pretty sure the restaurant on the corner is real plates (although it's still a bit like school dinners iirc) and is owned by them so usually the same curries that you'll get from the actual mosque. Prefer the actual mosque though

iirc there is a bit of rivalry between the actual mosque kitchen and the one one the corner, the one inside the mosque is pinilla quality good where as the one on the corner is a poor imitation of it

Just been to Skylark cafe in portobello for dinner, the food and service were second to none. Really enjoyed it, decent music as well

I think the rivalry was between the wee kebab shop in the middle who called itself ''the original mosque kitchen''. I'm fairly sure the guys on the corner are linked to the one in the mosque.

Actually now that I've looked it up I've been in there, back in 2012 although I think it may have been called something else; was BYOB. They have these audio & visual musical adventures once in a while ... basically decks and a projector I believe. Might check it out sometime.

Deffo worth checking out pondy, I was in about a year ago for a drink and they had had a DJ in the corner his decks were in some artificial pizza boxes-my mates were making lots of Nathan Barley references, tonight the place was packed with a total ambient atmosphere, very laid back with great food and service
