Anyone else a choc-ice fan?
Had one the other day, first time in years. Magic.

The garages have started selling Chinese chicken on a Popsicle stick. It's like a keto Magnum

They've been selling those for years you pillock.

Have they? Never seen them before, and they're definitely new in the Shell next to my work. Apologies for not being well-versed enough in petrol station junk food for you Mak

I don't think i'd ever want to eat chicken on a stick out a petrol station

Petrol stations really do know how to market to people out their box on bud.

Leafy greens, salad, eggs, fresh fish and meat, natural fats like nuts, avocados and olive oil, natural yoghurt, water, and chicken on a stick - glorious
Punted a stone so far on my unhealthy new diet, so you can keep your starchy carb filth

Thanks man. It has been very easy to stick to tbh, which I wasn't expecting. I thought by now I'd be bored and properly craving things like rice and bread. Even last night, went and had tea with my folks and they'd ordered an Indian. I just had the tandoori chicken with salad and didn't feel like I was missing out on the rice, pakora etc.

No. I did up it over the summer holidays when my ligament injury cleared up, long before I tried the low carb approach, and my exercise since I started been a maintenance of that level (not accounting for a gradual improvement in performance). That's actually one of the reasons I decided to give it a go - I was going to the gym 4 times a week and seeing very little improvement in my fitness, so along with the energy dips I was having, I decided to look at my diet and change it up in a way I'd be more likely to stick with.

What's the deal with this then? No carbs? Do you count cals?
What does a typical day look like?

The problem with it may be when your body gets used to the new energy source. You'll probs plateau. I've gut back carbs but also upped my work in the gym to incorporate some HIIT stuff.
I personally, and this is an uneducated opinion, think you need to mix it up on a continual basis, keep the body guessing.

I've now been doing it for nearly a month, so I'm starting to introduce days where I have higher carbs than normal. Rog will know more than me about this, but I think that it's recommended that once your body's adjusted to getting a high proportion of its fuel from fat, you have at least a day a week of carb loading. Don't quote me on that though.
I eat about 24g of carbs a day, counted the calories quite strictly for the first couple of weeks but have a good idea in my head of what I can have in a day now, so haven't been nearly as religious. I'm definitely eating fewer calories than I was and I'm not feeling hungry nearly as often. Typical day is something like this: Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled, 2 rashers of bacon and 100g of mushrooms fried in olive oil Lunch: chicken and mozzarella salad (lettuce, rocket, half a tomato, jalapeño, dressing, beetroot, maybe a medium boiled egg) Snacks: a chunk of Red Leicester, couple of spoonfuls of Greek yoghurt mixed with natural peanut butter Dinner: stir fried chicken/turkey breast with chorizo, orange pepper, piri piri spice rub and spinach wilted in butter Your appetite changes a lot though. There are a couple of times when I've skipped meals because I couldn't face the thought of eating anything. I'm definitely under my weight loss calorie target most days and not feeling like I'm starving myself at all.

Genuinely not at all. I had a wee forkful of rice and dipped some chicken into the sauce and didn't enjoy them, so didn't have any more. That tandoori chicken is
