The Republicans never stopped bleating on about Obama's executive orders throughout his time in office - despite him issuing fewer (compared with several, many fewer) pro rata than any of his predecessors mentioned above. Obama had a profound respect for the office; the exact opposite of Trump, who almost certainly has neither read nor has the remotest understanding of the constitution. To paraphrase him, that's "unpresidented". You're so wrong on this point, Obama lived through executive orders. The difference between him and Bush Jr. is marginal and without drilling into the detail of what those EOs were you aren't showing anything valid. Does that mean that Clinton was the most fascistic president we've seen in decades? Behave. Your stats were phony and so is your rebuttle to a point I wasn't even making. I wasn't suggesting that the Republicans weren't making a fuss about Obama's EOs but that the majority of Democrats were comfortable with it when it was their guy doing it. But these aren't normal times; they couldn't be less so. The question which remains is whether US institutions are up to the task of checking a President (and his team) who are this out of control. The extraordinary failure of the Republicans to oppose this latest executive order - on the grounds of its total unconstitutionality, meaning Trump should be impeached - already suggests they couldn't care less, meaning it'll be up to the judiciary instead. And if Trump gets his way on that too... The US has the most distinct three branches of power of any democratic nation. One EO doesn't undermine that, as federal judges have already proven by barring the enforcement of it as is within their power. If we're saying "Muslim ban = bad" then we're in agreement, but you're doing here what you always do which is work yourself up into a panic and make something more dramatic than it needs to be. I'm confident that this EO won't be the legitimate invoking of Godwin's Law that some see it to be, and I think many on the left have their panties wet at the prospect of a fascist tyrant to rail against and are not thinking straight right now. What is this order, 90 days? Let's see if it lasts that long... I highly doubt it will.

When pressed for a second time for her view by another British journalist, Ms May continued: “The United States is responsible for the United States' policy on refugees, the United Kingdom is responsible for the United Kingdom's policy on refugees.â€
What an absolute coward May is. Despicable.

This ban is looking uglier and uglier.
It has the stench of a poorly thought out and rushed decision. One can only hope that is the first step towards something more sensible. Time will tell. Mozzer

Trolling aside, the problem is that Islamic extremisim is an ideology rooted in religion. You cannot reason with religious folk as they believe in celestial fairytales.
That leaves only fighting fire with fire which only radicalises more people. Religion is the problem.

If religion wasn't there to control people, something else would be thought up. It's people that are the problem.

Disgraceful. And mummy is agreeing with it.
Trump won't last long. People laughed at the prospect of riots but we'll see what happens.
