Have been someone who defended him in the past but I think its 2 points out of 12 which really has fucked things up royally. Signs of progress under Strachan are a myth IMO. It took a massive deflection to beat Georgia at home and even the Ireland win came from a thoroughly uninspiring performance. Not going to bother counting the games against a 'country' the size of a post code. One thing I'll say for Strachan is that he's mastered glorious failure like no other - probably why the TA/SFA dumbfucks are so desperate for him to stay.

Players like Mackay Steven, Johnny Russell, McCormack are all worthy of at least a call up. How are you ever going to know how well these players play at this level if they never get called up?

We played well away to Germany, Poland and dominated the game at home to Georgia but could only get one goal - how it went in is neither here nor there. Its been far from perfect under Strachan as there have been moments in the campaign that were not seized. As mentioned, 2 points out of 12 is fucking criminal and has cost us.

Oh I know was laughing at the ridiculousness of the whole thing. Imagine the idea of playing young, form players.

McCarthur, Griffiths and Rhodes (all good players) have clearly walked after being overlooked time and time again. Russell and Shinnie sitting on the bench when it's an ideal game to freshen things up. He has shown absolutely no intention of bringing players through. Can't see past his pals.

Is that shinnie any good AP?

There's actually more decent players in the squad than I realised. Shame they're all missing.

Shinnies a LB tho isn't he? I'd be wanting Robertson to be getting as much international experience as possible at this point.

Scotland 4th in a four-horse race, blowing a historic opportunity, only home nation not going to France, etc etc. But on the other: first, two of the sides above Scotland are much better technically, which isn't Strachan's fault; it's a virtual coinflip between Ireland and Scotland beyond that. And while I know everyone points to Georgia, Scotland have been unlucky: Ireland taking 4 points off Germany is incredible, Poland 3 points off them pretty remarkable; Ireland's last second equaliser v Poland and last minute winner in Georgia was also crucial. And Ireland v Germany rather summed it all up: Ireland only had one shot on target in the whole game, while Germany missed sitters. I know, I know... concentrate on your own games, it's not about anyone else, etc etc. But in a league, it actually often is: Hearts were better in 1988 than 1986, yet came much closer to the title on the latter occasion because of what other teams did, taking points off each other, turning it into a near four-horse race. As for Strachan: he did improve you substantially. What's alarming is how much things have tailed off in 2015. I'd question whether 4 games - a bad month or so, basically - should cancel out all the progress you'd previously made. If the argument is yes, it should, good luck to any future manager if any of his players are injured, out of form, having an off day or anything else. If he stays, you'll have to hit the ground running in the World Cup qualifiers, or else. But you are capable of getting 2nd in those qualifiers: a happy squad giving everything can achieve that, even though it'll be tough. If he goes, all the same problems will remain, and the SFA don't have the money or the vision to entice a great manager. Meanwhile, the fans and media would probably only give a great manager - a big, exotic name - anything like enough patience. So the vicious circle continues. PS. Ireland have just had another stroke of luck. No manager can legislate for an opponent kicking someone in the face on the edge of the box - yet Poland just did that very thing. Typical.

Away to Germany and both times against Poland we've conceded late goals which have cost us two potential wins and a potential draw. Even holding on once could have changed things dramatically but his negativity means that we constantly invite pressure, even though the defence has clearly been our weakness all campaign. Plenty talented, intelligent attacking players available to him and he can't see past a long ball to Steven Fletcher. Can you imagine the reaction if this campaign had happened under someone who wasn't a media funnyman?
