she was up in St. Andrews last week with my ex and her pals we found a tic on her when she got back, had to remove it with gin and tweezers

Aye it was on her jawline which is a really strange place, she'd been away mon/tues and i discovered it on the Friday when I was going to brush her teeth so it had taken a fair bit blood... Dropped some gin on it then unwound it with tweasers, gave her a bit chicken for being a brave wee dug

Rory pick up a wee tick removal tool, you can get under them fairly easy and minimal risk of leaving the head in. (Will leave that one out there). I usually keep a couple in my toolcase when i'm working in forests etc, you're actually meant to keep the tick once you've removed it incase you do get ill so you can take it with you to the hospital

Cheers Morph! I saw that the petshop up at bruntsfield has the tic tool I'll pick one up.
I assumed they were a only a pest you'd encounter up north as they mainly attach themselves to sheep, until now I've always dabbed the tic with alcohol then used tweezers to twist it anti clockwise until it releases itself from the dug. The dogs I had when I was kid were forever getting them as my mum and her pals would go up north regularly for walking holidays and I was always tasked with removing them

He's the calmest pup. No bother on the drive home after a wee whine, quick explore of the garden, quick pish on the kitchen floor and now he's crashed out already

What a cracker Pete - chuffed for you

Braw dug Pete

Should get a wee harness for him man.
Not because it's better than a collar but it's definitely cuter |
