That header against the bar from a yard out Monty Ooh

Supersized Steven Elliott, gets through a power of work but just isn’t a goal threat.

He's a decent player at this level but we need a striker beside him. He will create for us but he's not a goalscorer

Yep, not sure where this idea he was signed as a goal scorer comes from. He's a hold up man.

Interesting AP has pulled up Uche and Clare Eek

Heads gone again.

The Uche stuff is covered on the first page of this thread. Boring going over it again.

He holds the ball up but for what? We've no midfield runners or wingers to lay the ball on to.

He's just a battering ram and that's the limit of what Levein is ever after. Blud n funder. Folk picking up scraps from hoofs up the park.

Monty Oh Well

Our style of play in 2019. Abysmal.

Listen, a striker has to be able to score goals whether he's a hold up man or not. Mark De Vries was a hold up man but didn't get a nose bleed any time he had the ball in the box. Anything else is something Levein would say.

Yep, this is the issue. Perfect partner for Keena, and obviously ideally Vanecek, but we're managed by Levein Fat Cunt

I quite like that Cosgrove at Aberdeen. Good hold up man.

Hates a goal though - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/sco...op-scorers

Hekens

He’s a bit more than a battering ram but that essentially all he’s capable of being in Levein’s team. Picking up the ball deep or out wide because his strike partner was around when rationing was a thing, with nobody breaking from midfield to support him. His fitness is an issue but no wonder he’s fucked after 60 minutes, he’s basically the only player doing anything in an attacking sense.

Tonight was crying out for two wide men, a breaking midfielder and a forward to run off Uche. If that wasn’t obvious from the start it was by half time. Hook Haring or Bozanic and ask Djoum to break from midfield. Get Keena and Mulraney on and tell Clare he’s playing as a fucking wide man and to run the ball and try and get crosses in. It’s not fucking difficult. That allows Uche to work between the width of the 18 yard box instead of the whole pitch.

Instead he persists with Djoum our wide offering no attacking threat and Clare was allowed to just drift about aimlessly.

Uche is a limited player but despite being custom built for Levein style football, Levein’s utter incompetence is actually working against him.

I don't rate him, I like some of the things he does, he's a nuisance etc etc but he's not good, he's what I thought Cole Stockton would be like.

When was the last time that Hearts had a couple of players in the top scorers charts at this stage of the season at the same time? Hartley and Skacel?  Fat Cunt

Goal virgin or not, he's a really useful player at this level. And if we can ever get him scoring 10-15 goals a season then he'd be a massive player for us.

All about getting the right players around him, can see how good he can be when he's ragdolling the tim defenders last Wednesday, just need the players supporting him to do more (or get better players) and we're onto a good one.
