Probably the worst defending you’ll ever see from Russia’s last man at Barclay’s stroll in from halfway Warnock

Good win - absolutely shite opposition but got to put them away and we’ve done so much more comfortably than Ireland or Japan did. Could be handy in the unlikely event points difference comes into it.

Could be final WC appearances for guys like Seymour, Wilson and Pete Horne so nice to see them bow out with a big win.

Just need to hope that Typhoon doesn't arrive and force the cancellation of the game - we walk out with a 0-0 draw and straight onto a plane home.

The possibility of this game being cancelled appears to be growing. Now I'm no expert in organizing global sports events but I would have to say if that happens then the rugby world should be mocked relentlessly until the end of time. A competition that for the first 3 or 4 weeks is already largely a complete farce given the continual blow out score lines would become a total laughing stock if the host nation were to advance without having to win their pivotal group game. The small print in the rules suggest that they do not have the option of moving it back 24 hrs which would appear to have been a sensible solution that is not available to the organisers. That a tournament that lasts a ludicrous length of time with endless off days doesn't have better safe guards in place for a postponement especially given these weather concerns is beyond incompetent.

If you flipped the script it would be worse TBF.

Japan getting launched out of their own world cup because their game isn't played due to an entirely predictable natural event Zlat

What a complete and utter embarrassment. No wonder rugby has about 8 countries of any standard. Total shambles.

England now have a massive advantage as most of their starting 15 v Australia will have been rested for over a fortnight. Makes a complete mockery of the entire tournament.

We now await how they are going to deal with a far more significant issue in respect to the entire integrity of the event.

I take it no forward planning was done or a look to tweak the rules before the tournament started during the typhoon season in Japan? Warnock

Obviously the risk to life comes first but people have spent tens of thousands of pounds to see some of these games and they don’t even have a contingency to postpone them...

What a fucking joke. Organising a tournament when this could happen.

They couldn't delay the match because its against tournament regulations? Wtf. Warnock

Genuinely shocked that world rugby HQ Ireland and World Cup hosts Japan will be going through automatically. Monty Oh Well

The game is essentially a World Cup knock out and if it’s not played either behind closed doors or at another venue then it’ll be an absolute embarrassment. If it was Japan or Ireland that ‘needed’ the match to go ahead I’ll guarantee you an alternative arrangement would be made. I’m genuinely angry at this and it’s not even confirmed yet.

Warnock  what sort of regulation means you can’t postpone a match when the tournament is about 8 weeks long as it is? :Brucie
