This is the one.

Nothing less than a win will do. We need to bring the same attitude as the Rangers and Hibs games.

Clawing back 4 points with 8 games left would be too much for this squad.

So emotionally draining going from one “MUST WIN” game to another. Sob

Surely game over if we lose though.

Predicting another draw. Doubt our players have the balls to go their mid week and put in a massive performance.

A draw still keeps things alive I suppose at least for another week or two.

I can see this coming a mile off. Halkett/Dikamona/Zlamal will gift them a goal (at least), Naismith/Boyce/Washington will miss a host of sitters and then the knives will be out for Stendel.

Of course they do. However, like others said on the Motherwell thread, is it Stendel’s fault if the players give away goals or can’t score? Halbert clears his lines, or Naismith taps it in and we are having different conversations. Not hard things for professional players to do, either.

Again, this is just you two (along with others, tbf) massively simplifying things - no one, certainly not myself, are saying Stendel doesn’t deserve criticism, it is not as black and white as that and there is enough blame to be shared around plenty people. Stendel absolutely deserves criticism for some of the transfers and for not taking more action earlier about tactics.

Pathetic stuff blaming him for players (mostly, but not all, Levein signings) being unable to defend or score, though.

The above is a lot of blablabla as usual.

You said that in the next games, if our forwards don’t score and our defence let’s in goals then people will blame Stendel.

Of course he should take the share of the responsibility. He’s literally paid to carry the can. Did he not deserve praise when we beat Hibs? Or was that the players not the manager?

As an aside, the defensive shape first half was a shambles. Halkett and dikamona playing up front at times, Hickey in no mans land with no cover. Smith doing his thing but making us vulnerable on the counter due to routinely shocking crosses into the keepers hands.

I don’t think it worked that well on Saturday, Boyce was where I think Washington would need to be in that type of formation. Boyce has to play as the focal point imo.
