I've now been doing it for nearly a month, so I'm starting to introduce days where I have higher carbs than normal. Rog will know more than me about this, but I think that it's recommended that once your body's adjusted to getting a high proportion of its fuel from fat, you have at least a day a week of carb loading. Don't quote me on that though.
I eat about 24g of carbs a day, counted the calories quite strictly for the first couple of weeks but have a good idea in my head of what I can have in a day now, so haven't been nearly as religious. I'm definitely eating fewer calories than I was and I'm not feeling hungry nearly as often.
Typical day is something like this:
Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled, 2 rashers of bacon and 100g of mushrooms fried in olive oil
Lunch: chicken and mozzarella salad (lettuce, rocket, half a tomato, jalapeño, dressing, beetroot, maybe a medium boiled egg)
Snacks: a chunk of Red Leicester, couple of spoonfuls of Greek yoghurt mixed with natural peanut butter
Dinner: stir fried chicken/turkey breast with chorizo, orange pepper, piri piri spice rub and spinach wilted in butter
Your appetite changes a lot though. There are a couple of times when I've skipped meals because I couldn't face the thought of eating anything. I'm definitely under my weight loss calorie target most days and not feeling like I'm starving myself at all.
