Just finishing up ozark. Lots of fun and some strong performances, and there's the obvious comparisons to be made with breaking bad. The only issue with that is Walter White 'braked bad' (??), whereas Marty Byrde hasn't undergone any journey that leads him to be the guy that's always got a scheme to get out of a fix, a witty put down in reply, a long stare with a threat. He comes pre-packaged and already most of the way to Heisenberg.
He's got some conflict in him, but it's mostly flushed out already and I wonder where it'll go to make his development worthwhile.
