I bought my car to drive for a long time, so that's probably the difference. If you're a slave to late capitalism to the extent that you have to know that you're driving a brand new car every few years, then I can see why you'd want to go for PCP/PCH to enhance your self-brand.
Like bookies pushing accumulators, there's a reason why dealerships push PCH/PCP deals.
I don't do much driving tbh but it was a pain not having one. Mrs Mags gets a car allowance which more than covers it anyway so not a massive deal financially.
