Think Clooney talked about it in an interview and got stick for it. Jason Clarke did the same thing for Everest on the 5Live Film Show, basically went through the whole plot
Just don't see how "It's a true story" makes it a free pass for spoilers. It's the same as "it's based on a book!". I'm sure plenty folk got through the Game of Thrones show without having it spoiled just because the plot appears in other materials. Films like Rush, I doubt I'd have enjoyed as much if I'd researched the story before hand. Can't just assume everyone's been exposed to a story because it's already happened.
