I'm sure you would. If you work on the rigs and a copter ditches into the sea, you'd definitely feel and acknowledge it more as someone who works in that industry. Look at the Orlando shootings. General outpouring of grief but it really hit the gay community because it was pretty close to home. An entire team of footballers died on their way to a football match. If their fellow professionals want to pay their respects then there's nothing wrong with that.
