I was a bit young to really understand the cultural significance of the French World Cup winning squad being so diverse - I didn't realise the depth of the racial tensions at the time. It doesn't seem to have had any real lasting impact though, which given the history involved doesn't really come as a surprise.
Just shocking. Is there any information on the perpetrators on any news agencies?
