The Jordanians came out with the same rhetoric after what ISIS did to that poor pilot. The Egyptians did the same after ISIS beheaded a bunch of Coptic Christians in Libya. And France? By a million miles, the most militaristic country in Western Europe (just listen to their anthem FFS), French leaders say this sort of stuff all the time.
But nothing much changed after the cases I mentioned above, and little will change now. With the rather significant caveat that on the ground in Syria and Iraq, all the signs are that ISIS, at last, are in trouble.
