I am asking why the states would KB a Brit looking to immigrate to America but would take a more sympathetic stance to someone from Iraq/Iran etc. The article doesn't explicitly say refugees and mentions visa holders. How is it more difficult for us to get a visa than someone from Iran?
Is it to keep their governments on side or?
1. It's much, much easier for us to get to the US in the first place, because of the ESTA scheme. Which non-Westernised countries are not part of.
2. That means the hurdles which Middle Easterners have to leap over are way higher. If they get over them, then they have something of a chance of being able to live in the US: provided they have a job offer, that is. Other than in a handful of professions, it's close to impossible for English language speakers to do the same, because in most cases, we'd be taking a job which an American could do instead.
3. As for these latest developments... which country did the 9/11 attackers come from? Which country does Wahhabi extremism come from? Which country has funded ISIS more than any other? Yet which country does not appear on the list of those facing these restrictions now?
Trump is an absolute joke of a man.
