Again, it's a video about A and you're bringing up XYZ. That video is strictly about the left and how they've changed over the years, nothing else. Can't just switch the argument and negate his points because he holds other views you don't agree with. I mean, obviously you can, it's just a bit pointless.
The "regressive left" seem to me to be the ones who have gained the most from the previous generation of liberals. They've been given a voice, a platform, and they're using that to shut down anything they don't agree with. They've been campaigning for rights and freedom of speech for years and now they're using it to oppress those that they originally felt oppressed by. Before, you'd have the vocal right shouting about how they hate gays and you can't abort kids. Now you've got the left saying you have to like gays and you have to support abortion. At the end of the day it's just one group of being forcing their opinions on another group of people. It's understandable why some are trying to distance themselves from a once positive movement that has become this poisonous pseudo-progressive echo chamber. Nobody wants to be told how to think.
