You can’t go tearing down statues because you don’t agree with what they represent. That’s the stuff of ISIS and the Nazis.
There’s definitely a debate to be had as to whether or not these statues should remain or not. I can see both sides but think I probably come down on the ’they should be removed’ camp. Perhaps a museum is a better place for them. It is clearly an emotive issue especially in some areas of the south – if they are to be removed it should be done through conversation and consensus.
Many soldiers who fought for the confederacy were conscripted. I am not sure that it is right that they should be airbrushed and not remembered. Though from what I have read the statue of the confederate soldier was erected at the time of Crow to cause division and segregation so I can see why people would want that removed. Maybe a more subtle memorial to all those that died would be more appropriate.

Tearing statues down and kicking them because you are a deranged alt-leftie is quite simply wrong. March and protest to have them removed. Petition the local government. But tearing them down makes you a beast from the forest.
