He got taken down with Chad's first shoot and stayed there for the rest of the first round. Same again in the second. It was early body shots that ruined Mendes and he couldn't keep up with smothering him so went for a lazy attempt at a guillotine.
I think there was a snuffed take-down attempt in the second after McGregor got it to the feet again but it's not hard to defend against a guy blowing out his arse. Mind Mendes had about 10 days prep too. Eddie has had a full camp with Mark Henry who is fucking excellent.
