Or if HMRC employ an accounting method for professions like law/accountancy which takes all work you have done that year (and not even raised a bill for) and then they count that towards your profit figures for the year. That also fucks you.
Saw an example of a builder who showed a £60k profit, but whose wife is ill with cancer. They wont get anything and will still have to put food on the table.
It's unfair that it is sort of means tested, with an upper limit on wages last year, whereas the other support packages are not means tested, other than with a cap on payment. So you can have earned £55k as an employee and can access support, but if you show that as profit while self employed, you can't.
