Yep that's absolutely true to a degree. They may have been waiting to check that Dundee and ICT went through with it knowing abstaining would have the consequences it does. However what Hearts (and for arguments sake Partick) might not want is for the votes to be complete anytime soon. The reason for this might be that when that happens we might find the SPFL again rushing to conclude this stitch up and make the necessary adjustments to get this over the line. This would highly likely not be in our interests, so we might be better to sit on our hands until 27 days, 23 hrs 59 mins are up to see how things evolve elsewhere and if real talks are going to take place re reconstruction etc.
