Fuck knows what change happens to allow them in to the top flight though. 16 team top flight with a split after two rounds of fixtures, would still mean a 44 game season. Perhaps a 16 team top flight for one season reducing to 14 from the following season.
They are tripping then. League reconstruction requires a 11-1 vote majority so ain't happening. There's a reason only two sides can scupper major upheaval to our game including changes to how TV revenue is distributed. I wonder which two sides that would be?
One of the many forgotten disgraces of our game is Aberdeen who with Rangers playing in the fish and chip leagues merrily voted with Celtic on such matters while the going was good for them.

A motion was put forward at yesterday’s SPL board meeting to ditch the current 11-1 majority needed for major decisions with some clubs keen to see a new 9-3 voting system introduced on all issues.
But hopes that the changes could be in place by next month hit the buffers at yesterday’s meeting inside Hampden and Record Sport understands that Aberdeen opposed the move.
What chance do you have with munters like that.
