I'm aware that regardless of which way Hearts voted, obviously was always going to be a NO vote, that it wouldn't have impacted the outcome of the vote itself. What I would argue is that given there was 28 days to make any vote we should have undoubtably been the last to cast it. The reason for this is not doing so allowed someone, turns out it was Dundee, an opportunity to use leverage. Personally I don't think Dundee planned this, they found themselves in this situation as the last side to vote and quickly realised the leverage they had. If Hearts hadn't voted then I suspect the Dundee vote is cast, or reissued if you believe it was 'lost' or there was a technical glitch with none of this happening.I understand what you are saying here but for a couple reasons hearts could never hold leverage to influence anything so it’s a duff argument
I agree there are numerous areas the club could and should be criticized for ahead of this, however for me, so far, I'm underwhelmed as to how we are handling this. If Budge ends up accepting a few hundred grand compensation or parachute payment you can add another couple of million quid to her tab in terms of the money she and Levein have wasted. There is no way she should survive us being relegated whatever the circumstances.
You could only slate hearts if another PL team had voted no as then it would put us in a position where our vote mattered. But even then we can only vote one way, hearts could never vote to relegate ourselves so it’s totally pointless even contemplating it! If we had held of voting, even hypothetically if we still hadn’t submitted our vote right now the outcome would be exactly the same
Only a championship team could ever hold any leverage and hearts holding off on voting would make absolutely nae difference to the championship team because no matter which way hearts vote it is the team from the championship who holds the decider regardless of whether the last premiership team is going to vote yes or no.
Again, Dundee didn’t even hold off from voting they did vote by the deadline like every other club in the pyramid system. This is a completely manufactured situation that is well out of our control.
