That's not exactly true, there have been multiple examples of white men being gunned down in extremely dubious circumstances as well. Probably the most egregious was the killing of Daniel Shaver. Or there was the more recent case of Ryan Whitaker who was shot six times in the back when he answered the door to the cops. These examples aren't exactly the same as the case we're talking about, but the point is American police are given absurd amounts of leeway to murder civilians on a whim. That isn't to suggest young black men aren't the overwhelming majority of the victims of this but it's important to recognise the warrior cop style of American policing harms everyone (a point the BLM movement often make).

Once you're in the system, it's next to impossible to get out. All these 'tough on crime' arsehole politicians aid and abet this shit and you would struggle to find two more culpable than Democratic 2020 ticket. Electoralism will not fix this.
