They should be doing £5 tickets for tomorrow night or something though, if you were going to give back to the fans it's going to be for something like the league cup rather than European groups and it's sold so badly so even more reason. For Europe I think they're justified charging those prices and the more cash we get on these nights the better it is for splashing on players and such.
Yeah I think that's probably fair enough. It doesn't really affect me as I'm a young guy with no dependents but folk with kids etc. might struggle to justify it a bit more. In my view one of the big things that separates clubs such as Hearts from the Old Firm is that there should be a sense of community and be for the benefit of the community. I think other clubs do a better job of reflecting that, like Motherwell giving free season tickets to homeless and low income people, or giving free season tickets to people who supported the club through covid. I do get that we're on a different scale of fanbase to clubs like that though.
I agree that a compromise would perhaps be to offer these kinds of things for less popular game like the League Cup. Tbh it's not that bad and am just moaning.
