Heard great things about the ox and finch in Glasgow, and I've got a £50 voucher to use.
Hope they're awkward as fuck about letting you use the voucher

Where else have you had ostrich etc? Can hardly compare my experience of shark in there to anywhere else
I had shark, crocodile, ostrich, kangaroo, the full whack, but tried a bit of chicken as well to get a comparison on the quality of the food and the chicken was shite. Hence my point. If they're scrimping on quality with a product that is cheap and readily available, then fuck knows what corners they are cutting with the other stuff

Classic Begbie having chicken in a place like that and then going to play tennis with his work mate

Wildfire on rose street was excellent. One of the best steaks I've had.
Nearly as good as the butcher shop in Glasgow which is immense.

It's Middle Eastern, and Lebanon is in the Middle East. Racist.
Absolute NAP that Begbie would go to Alton Towers and spend the whole day wandering around in the Buddhist meditation gardens that nobody goes to. :begbie:

What's wrong with having chicken as long as you tried the exotic stuff too?

upped it to 1500 (1200 was ridiculous. Christian Bale in the Machinist levels)
Not really bothered about the occasional going over it. No idea how many cals that would have been. Fish, duck, beef, salad. So many GAINZ

Absolutely nothing, but they are already well aware of that
Think I tried a few wee bits of chicken after my girlfriend of the time said she was hating it - she never tried anything except the chicken, which seemed a bit pointless.

No need to justify yourself to them man. You've nothing to prove.
Chucking your ex-bird under the bus to avoid a bit of hassle though, Franco. That's low.

I'm quite sure she will not give a flying shite whether some internet cretins think she is unadventurous in her culinary choices. There were a fair few not trying any of the exotic foods.
Andaluz is average at best.
Indian-Mother India
French(ish)-Bia bistrot
Scottish-First coast
Italian-La favourita
Thai-Thai orchid
Bia Bistrot is a great shout
Been to Kublai Khans twice, the novelty value carries it. The second time it was pish, the meat is cut up pretty small, smashed with so many spices then fried beyond recognition to give you any real idea what it actually tastes like. From memory the starters are a bit better.
Went to that Mithas place when I was over last month and it was decent, if very pricey. Believe it has closed down now though?
The food in Sydney shits over almost anything on offer in Scotland

Got to be Beruit at Nicolson Sq for Lebanese in Edinburgh.
Also would recommend Shebeen for steak and Crafters Barn for their starters and pizza.
Kublai Khans is shite, could be decent but the way they incinerate everything is horrible. Could almost see the attraction if it was still 1980 and it was the only way to try 'exotic' meats like kangaroo.
