Good shout Winston.

Lovely polish lass used to work there, not sure if she's still there.

Glasgow is miles better for food, the only thing that Edinburgh excels at is pretension. Saying that if its a special occasion the Scotsman hotel, number 1 are brilliant if out to impress.

You're only saying that because you're a foreign.

That said, I do prefer Glasgow myself. In Edinburgh though, because I am a complete food pleb, I love me some Kublai Khans. Nothing like eating zebra to make me feel like a real man.

Whatever you want. You basically pick the meat, then all the shit you want to go with it, take it to the chef and he cooks it all up right there. on a hot plate. Plus, because it was my birthday they dressed me as a Mongolian prince and I sat on a throne.

You don't get that at fucking Cafe Andaluz.

Indian - Tuk Tuk next to the King's Theatre is excellent.

French - Cafe Marlayne is very good, but La Garrigue on Jeffrey St is awesome. Highly recommended.

Lebanese - Hanam's on Castle Terrace is consistently good.

Thai - Dusit is really good.

Turkish - Hanedan near the Meadows was lovely when I last went.

Always thought Kublai Khan's food was quite poor, leaving aside the novelty factor. Loved the idea of it and did reasonably enjoy it, but it is expensive and even just the quality of the chicken was mediocre when I was there. That was a few years back, right enough.

This was exactly my experience of the one in Glasgow, again a few years back. Was really overpriced for some pretty cheap cuts of meat stuck on a grill with crap sauces.

Heard great things about the ox and finch in Glasgow, and I've got a £50 voucher to use. Pinilla

Ox and Finch was fantastic, best place I've been in Glasgow.

Someone I know did get food poisoning there though. Would still be worth it
