Is Kubla Kans a buffet? That's probably why the quality is a bit sub par. But it's pretty cool you can get kangaroo and shit. Can you get that anywhere else?

Not quite what you would normally expect as a buffet, basically it's like a buffet of raw ingredients that you pick yourself and they then cook it to death on a hotplate. Kangaroo meat is readily available in most supermarkets these days or even from online butchers. Lidl even do frozen kangaroo steaks that are very good and only 2-3 quid a pack.

The Honours is good for steak.
For fans of the unusual meat, have been to Three Birds at Bruntsfield a couple of times, which has been decent and often have some different animals on the menu.

I had a terrible experience at the Honours, would never go back there.

Was at the launch of this place last night (Chrambo - Edinburghs new IT Boy) and it was superb, samples of the curries were great. Â
Just had a look at the menu now and its well priced too, £3.75 a pint and they also offer a beer flight (3 x 1/3 pints) so you can sample a couple. Its in the old Villager - Vdeep

Saw a giant queue for Cosmo after work the other day. Is that a common thing, and why? Like it was at least 100 folk deep.

Back to Glasgow vs Edinburgh chat over here as well
I'm heading to Andaluz in the West End tomorrow night. I've been to the one in town before so I'm guessing it'll be largely similar in which case it'll be good. I also really like the Hanoi Bike Shop and Ubiquitous Chip. There's a really good Italian in the East End called Celino's as well. The best food I've had in Edinburgh would be at Caste Terrace but I've never been disappointed with First Coast and it's a bit more on the reasonable side. Khubla Khan's is fucking terrible.
