Under the chips were various old compressed layers that were rock hard. Was interesting to see the different layers. Anyway after that we had 3 of those big hippo bags full of rubble, soil and old chips, all sitting on the street, but we managed to get a guy who is doing a big job next door to take them away on their skip for £50. jjay

Laid loads more gravel and now onto our third ton bag of chips.

Also had three rose borders we had to dig out, must have been about 50 roses. Fat Cunt Managed to give quite a few away, some were really nice but just not for us.

That’s a sweet result man. GodIsGod

Rose borders are nice to look at, but not good when you’ve got kids as it’s just something else for them to crash into when playing in the garden.

Think I’m going to try and see if I can break some of the bigger ones up and then take them to the dump in stages in the boot of Mrs Floyd’s car, no danger am I doing it in mine. Laugh

I would say "you", but it sounds like you're best leaving it alone before you do more damage. Hung

How far out is the bolt? Could you grip it with snips?

Heat it up and if there's any part of it showing use grips to get it out. If not drill it out.

Had that with my sink and washing machine not long ago. I'd take the u-bend off under the sink and have a look. Mine was backed up with shite and a curtain hook that's probably been lodged in there for about 20 year. Had soapy suds bubbling up out the sink every time I put a wash on Warnock

Curtain hook Monty Chuckle really wouldn’t shock me if there was something like that down there. Took the U bend off to drain it all out my sink and left it off while my washing machine finished, state of the water coming out :Monty LewLew . Trying the Mr Muscle stuff the now and hoping it destroys whatever filth is down there.

That stuff is pretty good, did the trick for my kitchen sink before. Dread to think what shite my daughter had put down there when she was younger. Eek

Once caught her drowning worms from the garden, when I asked what she was doing, she said giving them a wash, as the poor fuckers got poisoned by fairy liquid and then went down the plug hole.

It’s from the pipe at the bottom of it.

Is is from the actual pipe or the nut? If its the nut you should be able to tighten it.
