Looks like a screw cap. Usually if it gets stuck like that I need to get a pair of pliers and twist it out. The cap will usually bend and maybe split but just keep at it until it all comes out. Make sure you turn off the lights at the main board and not just the switch though.

Don't think it's a bayonet cap, I know they're nowhere near as common in Europe as they are here.
